Pregnancy Yoga.

Pregnancy, labour and birth are the work of the body. Cultivating a regular yoga practice during your pregnancy, is like having an open dialogue with your body and baby and when labour starts for real, it will easier to find and follow what feels good. Also carving out time on a regular basis to consciously connect with your baby in the womb will help you develop a deep bond and a sense of team spirit for the impeding birth.

The physical practice of yoga builds your strength and confidence in preparation for labour and creates and openness and flexibility in our body, while the breath helps to tap into your intuition, to relieve any stress and anxiety you may be holding, creates connectedness.

Yoga has proven to be very beneficial during pregnancy, labour and beyond, creating a feeling of wellbeing and confidence in our body, mind and spirit. As one would train for a marathon or any physically taxing event, so we need to prepare for labour too. We need be powerful and strong - inside and out.

Practising with me will help you lay the foundation for labour by building your confidence and by giving you a set of emotional tools and physical endurance to rely on when labour begins.

My sequences will leave you feeling strong and soft, grounded and fluid.

I am happy to teach in your home in or around Forest Row, maybe together with a pregnant friend or in my home - please get in touch to find out more!

“Juli´s classes were both energising and grounding and just so wonderfully nourishing. I loved the mix of sequences to build strength and endurance as well as time to slow down, connect with my baby and honour my pregnant body. Juli shared a lot of birth wisdom too and the breathing exercises were such a useful preparation for labour.Thank you!”
