Full Hypnobirthing Course

4x2 hours - Investment £430

I totally get it. Being pregnant can be tough and overwhelming. And the idea of giving birth can be daunting, especially as there are so many negative stories out there. But hey, giving birth can also be an incredibly empowering and joyful experience, even though it will be intense in many ways.

Preparing yourself for birth is one of the best gifts you give yourself and you baby - as this experience will stay with you for as long as you live.

So why not make your birth experience a positive one? You’ve come to the right place!

In my hypnobirthing course you will learn all about the mind-body-connection, birth hormones, physiology and mechanics of birth, how to navigate the maternity system and how to make informed choices. This knowledge will help you release fear and build confidence and combined with the relaxation tools and mindfulness techniques you will feel prepared and calm no matter how your birth unfolds.

A positive birth does not have to be “natural” or without pain relief, it´s much more about approaching birth realistically, having genuine choice, feeling supported in the decisions you are making and ultimately about feeling  empowered by your experience.

I recommend starting the course around 25 weeks, but of course sooner or later is fine too.

  • In this first session we will talk about what you associate with giving birth and how to reframe the subconscious. You will learn all about the importance of language, the mind-body connection, the benefits of mindfulness and deep relaxation for birthing and most importantly you will understand how our hormones work and what you can do to help them do their job.

We will explore the cycle of fear-tension-pain, talk about refraiming pain and talk about the importance of your birth environment.

  • Relaxation is your best birthing tool and this session will focus on how to stay calm, focused and relaxed throughout. We will talk about the importance of your our breath and will practise different breathing techniques for labour and birth and add some powerful visualisations.

We learn how to stay present with what is rather than switching to auto-pilot, how to set anchors through music, scent and touch. And you will learn how to release endorphins through touch and useful acupressure and massage techniques. We will talk about the importance of facial relaxation as well as techniques to help make labour more comfortable and we will go through a number of guided meditations.

  • In this session we will about your birth preferences, your support team and the important role of your birth partner. We will cover common interventions and procedures during birth, talk about pain relief options and you will learn array of questions to ask in order to make informed decisions. We will also talk about the normal range of pregnancy, the “guess date” and inductions and also about ways to achieve a natural start to labour. As well as preferred birth positions we learn how to optimise the baby’s position through movement and yoga. We will finish with a beautiful deep relaxation.

  • And finally we will talk about birth itself. We will talk about what to expect in the weeks and days leading up to birth and the signs that labour is starting. We will then talk in detail about what to expect through labour and also when to call your midwife and when to go to hospital, birth centre - if you are planning to. We will go through common procedures and talk about special circumstances and how to deal with them. We will talk about cord clamping & placenta delivery and about the beautiful “golden hour” of undisturbed bonding, skin to skin and breastfeeding. On the practical side we will talk about things you really need before the baby is born and we will also talk about how to make your postpartum time as dreamy as possible.

“As someone who was terrified at the prospect of labour and birth Juli totally changed my whole mindset and made me excited about the experience. The sessions we had and all our learnings were so helpful not just through labour but in life, I still use the breathing exercises today. It was also great for my husband who found the sessions so informative and through labour and birth he was the best birth partner, equipped with all the tools needed for a positive birth!

“Whenever and however you give birth, your experience will impact your emotions, your mind, your body, and your spirit for the rest of your life.”
